We cannot deny the growing demand for new categories of non-relational databases such as NoSQL, DocumentDB among others. But we have to assess that these banks are recent in the IT market. The term NoSQL came up in 1998, for example.
The relational databases were born in the early 1970s and the first commercial relational database emerged in 1979.
I see that relational databases will exist for a long time in the IT market.
But I already know a programming language, should I know SQL?
All programming languages have their characteristics, particularities and way of working. Programming languages like Java, C, C ++, Python, PHP are among the best rated on research sites.
But when you program in one of these languages and need to access the data in a relational database, you will somehow have the contact (direct or not) with the SQL language to retrieve or write data to a database.
Then the SQL should be your partner language which will work together with your current programming language.

What will the course provide me to learn the language?
You can see the course load and number of classes on the course panel. All of them in video in HD format (720). Just below this description you will have access to the curriculum, where you can see each of the classes and view the free content. I am dividing the course into Modules and within each module the sections with the classes.
We will have a section that will explain how to install SQL Server and use the SQL Server Management Studio tool where we will execute all commands.
A file with the course project will also be provided which will contain several scripts with SQL statements grouped according to the modules and sections. In each script you will have the content of each class. With this you can simulate the same commands applied in class.
